Music and Insomnia In Women
More than half of elderly women and men experience sleep problems, and women are likely to be more affected. Rather than more supplements and more medications in a population that is likely already burdened with excessive health care costs, something simple like music may be just the answer.
In a study of 52 postmenopausal women over 70, level of sleepiness, time to fall asleep, frequency of night time awakenings, and morning waking time were all recorded and rated in a sleep log for 10 nights.
They then added music to their routine for 10 nights, selecting any form of music they preferred. After listening to music for 10 consecutive nights, the same sleep data was collected.
The time it took to fall asleep before music was from 27-69 minutes and it fell to 6-13 minutes after the music was added. Prior to music, night time awakenings were from 5-8 but improved to 1-3 when the music was added. Each night the music was used, it became even more effective.
Commentary: Free of side effects, inexpensive, and known to promote relaxation, reduce agitation and even pain, we can now add insomnia to the list of benefits of music. Hopefully, it won’t keep the neighbors up.

Hi Shella,
I am sorry to say. That’s no hard copy to deliver to you. All files are in MP3 format. And you can listen on your MP3 player follow the same bedtime routine, such as having a warm drink or a light snack, reading something soothing or listening to relaxing music. Let your body know you’re getting ready to sleep.

Anne,
There’s no different my echo sound remedies and brainwave technology compared to the market. Just that, my sound program are much more cheaper than outside market.
You will get 20 songs of natural echo and 60 mins brainwave technology. I guess, you wouldn’t get this member price at outside market.
My position is to solve your problem and not to swindle your credit card.

Hi Dawn,
Natural sound echo have clearly been the most popular choice. Sounds like the ocean, surfing in the beach, gulls flying overhead, the waves lapping on the shore are so soothing that it actually brings the listener to the beach.
Then there are also the wind sounds which range from soft breeze to a wind howl that could mean a storm or a hurricane is coming. Some sound effects also include wind and key chimes. Just like the CDs and tapes you buy at the store, these programs have music that will help your mind relax.
As for the brainwave technology is like “sound frequencies” can happen to anybody who has sleeping problems. Brainwaves, which is the different states and levels of activity in which your brain is functioning at any given point in time is the key to understanding why you find it so hard to sleep.
There are four main levels of brain activity in a human being at any time during a 24-hour day and those levels are:
1. Beta Brainwaves Which range from 13-30 HZ. In this level your mind is active and fully conscious and functional, like it usually is during the day.
2. Alpha Brainwaves (7-13 Hz) : This state is what happens when you are in a relaxed or calm state or day dreaming.
3. Theta Brainwaves (3 - 7 Hz) in this level, your mind or brain is in a light sleep, such as when you take a nap in the afternoons.
4. Delta Brainwaves (0.1 - 3 Hz) Associated with deep sleep.
What all these means is that most times at night when you cannot sleep, your brain is still functioning at Beta or active levels, i.e. as if it were still day time, and no matter what you do, or what sleeping tables you take, you will not be able to achieve that state of restful sleep you desire.
Yes!! sleeping tablets may knock you out and you may sleep, but the sleep will never be refreshing and you will almost always wake up feeling drowsy and not refreshed and probably with headaches and more.
For you to sleep and sleep properly, your brain activity needs to drop from active Beta to relaxed Theta or Delta levels. And if this does not happen naturally by itself the way nature intended it to, the the only other ‘natural’ way to do so is by ‘entraining’ the brain to fall into this frequency by using music or sound that is playing at THE EXACT or near same frequencies of Theta or Delta frequency.
Hope this info may help you have better understanding about your doubtful.

Hello,
I am interested in your music for women and insomnia. I use a library computer, do not have an mp3 player, and do not know what to do with downloads and mp3 players. Is it possibe to order your music on CD….I would pay extra for this. I was told that a download could be burned to a CD ( don’t know how to do that either) I look forward to your reponse. Thank you.
